Global Journal of Media Studies

 Founded in 2014, Global Journal of Media Studies is an academic journal of journalism and communication discipline, supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and Tsinghua University, and hosted by the School of Journalism and Communication of Tsinghua University and Tsinghua University Press. It is a bimonthly journal with Chen Changfeng serving as the current executive editor-in-chief. The former editors-in-chief include Guo Zhenzhi, Li Xiguang, and Jin Jianbin. The editorial board is composed of the leading scholars from China and abroad as well as a team of editors with academic achievements and professional experiences. In 2019, it became a source journal of Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) Extended Edition, and was also included in Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences A journal Citation Database and the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Academic Journal Database at the same time. In 2023, it was listed in Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI).

Global Journal of Media Studies focuses on publishing original academic works from domestic and international scholars. It reveals the new trends of media development in China and the world, presents new ideas, new methods, and new disciplinary frontiers, and endeavors to promote theoretical, historical and practical research in journalism and communication. We welcome a variety of topics and methodologies in journalism and communication. So far, we have published a number of outstanding articles in such fields as health communication, risk communication, human-computer interaction, journalism, science communication, international communication, and media studies. With extensive exchanges and cooperation with domestic and international academics, we will continue to improve the academic quality and present original works of excellence.
